Our Story
Founded in 2021, Sympl is the 1st platform of its kind to empower sellers to sell their products and services directly to bank card holders on short-term, interest free payments plans that are the best fit with customer preferences.
Sympl gives customers the opportunity to better manage their expenses and save money by paying in 3, 4 or 5 payments on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis without interest, hidden fees, or an application process.
Sympl’s platform starts at the checkout and no lengthy onboarding or pre-purchase registration is needed, creating a seamless and simple shopping experience both in-store and online.
Sympl helps merchants expand their sales across a wider customer base.
We allow any walk-in customer with an eligible bank card who enters a merchant’s store or visits a merchant’s online shop, to pay later without any application process nor documents required.
We increase the merchant’s purchase frequency because using Sympl promotes customer loyalty.

Founding Team
• Mohamed El-Feky
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Mohamed comes with over 19 years of commercial business experience, mostly in financial institutions with a focus on consumer finance product development for mass-market segments.
Prior to founding Sympl, Mohamed was the Chief Executive Officer of ValU – Egypt’s leading consumer finance company under EFG Hermes. Prior to joining EFG Hermes, Mohamed held several managerial and supervisory roles in diversified industries including Bank Audi, Mashreq Bank, OrasInvest, Fiat Auto Egypt & Vodafone.
He holds 3 academic degrees; a masters of Business Administration, Marketing Diploma, and Bachelor of Engineering.
• Karim Tawfik
Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Karim Tawfik leads to the technology team at Sympl and brings over 10 years of experience developing and managing technology products with a focus on payments, data analysis, AI. Karim has led data engineering teams across a diverse set of big data stack technologies.
Previously as he has worked at Visa and Agolo, and prior to joining Sympl, his last role was building and leading the engineering team at Capiter, one of the leading B2B marketplaces in Egypt.
Karim has a BSc. in Computers and Information from Cairo University.
• Yasmine Henna
Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer
Yasmine comes with over 9 years of commercial experience in both telecom and fintechs with a focus on product marketing for consumer segments.
Prior to founding Sympl, Yasmine was one of the co-creators of valU and headed the growth & segments team. Yasmine has also led multiple functions within valU including product development, call center, sales, e-commerce, and promotions.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Marketing Communication with highest honors and a double minor in Psychology and Business from the American University in Cairo.
